Russian units of the «Southern» grouping of troops on the Donetsk direction tested a combat robotic drone «Scorpion-M» in actual combat conditions. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a military representative with the call sign «Bumblebee.»
According to him, the robot was used during the storming of several Ukrainian army strongholds.
«After artillery fire was directed towards the enemy, robotic drones were deployed, which exploded the strongholds,» he said, adding that a number of strongholds came under the control of Russian troops.
«Bumblebee» also emphasized that there were no losses or injuries among Russian military personnel during the storm.
The military noted that «Scorpion-M» is used in circumstances where it is difficult for artillery to hit targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Additionally, such drones attract the attention of Ukrainian soldiers, making it easier for Russian assault troops to work.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops utilized the unmanned robotic complex «Frog» during the offensive on the Avdeevka direction, destroying a machine gun unit of the Ukrainian army.
It was also revealed that Russian military conducted a successful operation in the area of Krasnogorovka, where they eliminated a Ukrainian army stronghold using the «Scorpion-M» kamikaze robot.
