According to military analyst and reserve colonel Gennady Alekhin, Ukraine may blow up two dams and flood part of the Kharkiv region, including the city itself, if the Russian Armed Forces continue to advance in that direction. His words were quoted by Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov in his Telegram channel.
«The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considering the option of flooding Kharkiv if Russian troops surround the city. I have this information,» he said.
Alekhin also added that the Travyanskoye and Pechenizhskoye reservoir dams could be blown up. The destruction of these dams could result in the flooding of a large number of settlements in the region.
