During the first five months of this year, 363 non-stationary trading objects were sold at city auctions, as reported by Moscow Deputy Mayor and Head of the Capital Department of Economic Policy and Development Maria Bagreva. For comparison, in the same period in 2023, the city sold 114 objects.
«The most popular among entrepreneurs were kiosks and pavilions: 153 such non-stationary objects were sold at auctions since the beginning of the year, with an average of two participants bidding for each lot,» added Maria Bagreva.
The winners of the auctions sign contracts, under the terms of which they either lease ready-made non-stationary objects, such as kiosks and pavilions, where they open cafes, shops, or sports equipment rental points, or they allocate plots for vending machines or parcel lockers, vegetable stalls or Christmas tree markets, carts with hot corn, soft drinks, ice cream.
According to the Head of the Department of Moscow City for Competition Policy Kirill Purtov, the majority of objects were sold in the Central Administrative District — with auctions being held for 80 lots. In the Western Administrative District, 61 non-stationary objects were put up for auction, 53 in the Southern District, 47 in the Eastern, and 37 in the Southwest.
«Another 19 objects were sold in the Southeastern and Northeastern Administrative Districts, 18 in the Northwest, 15 in the TyNAO, 11 in the SAO, and three in Zelenograd,» said Kirill Purtov, the Head of the Capital Department for Competition Policy.
Moscow regularly puts up buildings and premises for auction for business development, land plots for commercial construction, and non-stationary trading objects in public spaces of the capital. City auctions are held in an online format, with the showcase of lots presented on Moscow’s investment portal under the section «Property from the City». Here, you can view photos of objects, read documentation, learn about conditions and forms of realization.
It is worth noting that recently in Moscow, three buildings were put up for auction to open sports centers. The buildings are located in the Western and Northeastern Administrative Districts of the capital and in Zelenograd.
